About the opportunity

Tea Head of Brand will bring the University’s brand strategy to life through content, campaigns and creative. They will lead a talented and passionate team that is responsible for brand strategy, creative and content development, audience insights, social media strategy and agency partnerships.

As a member of the Marketing and Communications leadership team, the Head of Brand will engage and influence Marketing and Communications colleagues and senior internal stakeholders to align activity across the University with the brand strategy. The successful candidate will be an energetic, creative leader with team leadership experience and a strong track record in building great brands to positively impact reputation and advocacy with diverse audiences.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • develop and implement a distinctive brand strategy to support the University’s objectives and build advocacy with key audience groups domestically and internationally
  • work collaboratively with University colleagues and external partners to bring the brand strategy to life across our channels (especially social), our content and campaigns
  • inspires and leads a diverse team of talented marketing professionals
  • oversee the brand and market research program and share insights to support future planning and inform the marketing communication strategy

About you

  • demonstrated experience in a marketing or brand leadership role that includes strategic and campaign planning, financial and resource management, audience insights and market research analysis and reporting on performance
  • demonstrated experience in leading brand strategy development and managing a creative team to bring it to life across multiple channels
  • experience partnering with agencies and external suppliers
  • experience in social media and content strategy
  • proven leadership and managerial experience in large and complex organisations, working with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
